The Burn

Long after the fire was consumed,

Thoughts smolder inside.

A thick, fog like simmer

Dances on the memory

Engulfed by sighs.

The smoke dissipates.

Your aura remains.

Blue flames,

Burn below the skin.

Embers that need,

Churn inside.

So combustible,

One stroke,

One spark,

Will set them ablaze,

Ravage your skin.

Kiss by kiss,

Lick by lick,

Exhausted bodies,

Beneath a want.

Need.Melt together as one,

Internal glow,

Ignites wildfires,

That burn inside out.

The seed boils.

Fevers flash.

Delirium begins.

Backdraft spills-over.

As the burn.
